The Key to Evolving Beyond Ego

In The Key to Evolving Beyond Ego, Craig explains why our spiritual practices rarely lead to the kind of transformation we're seeking: the simple truth is that most of us haven't yet learned how to navigate past the part of us that doesn't actually want to change.

As Craig explains in this audio, this fundamental resistance to change is not our fault. We didn't choose it. It's not even a product of our childhood traumas.

This primitive part of the self--the ego--is rooted deep in our evolutionary past and is hardwired to preserve a sense of security and continuity at all costs.

Try asking it to change and you're going to get a big "no" for an answer.

So, although we may think we want to evolve, and may be putting a lot of time and effort into our spiritual path, if we don't learn how to identify--and move beyond--this fundamental resistance to change, we will find that our efforts to awaken repeatedly fall short of the transformation we all sense is possible.

In this audio, Craig illuminates the most important step you can take to begin to identify your own ego resistance, and more importantly, how to make the simple but radical shift in orientation that can enable you to move beyond it.

Say A Little Prayer..

True prayer is not a way of getting God to do something for us, but a method of expanding our own consciousness so that we can accept all that God has already provided..

A Feeling of Gratitude..

When was the last time your heart spoke to your little toe or your liver spoke to your pancreas? When was the last time you spoke to your food with gratitude for where it came from?
When was the last time you asked for help?

What would it be like to have all your body parts cooperating with you in accomplishing a physically challenging endeavor?
What would it be like to have help and support come easily, naturally and without conditions?

And what would it be like to be confident that your intentions will always manifest because you trust 100% that it will be so?

It is time to change our approach to life from one of effort and mistrust to one of believing in the cooperation of the universe.

Silence..

Silence of the heart, not only the mouth - that too is necessary. Then you can hear God everywhere; in the closing of the door, in the person who needs you, in the birds that sing, in the flowers, the animals - that silence which is wonder and praise. ~ Mother Teresa

Silence is beautiful. Don't break it unless you can improve on it.

Being in silence instills in us detachment, which in turn, leads us to probe who we really are. 90% of humanity does not know this. Except for a few great men; the leaders, the artists, and the writers who live in a different plane of existence and march to a different drumbeat. They have a distinct advantage; they know who they are and this helps them go where they want to go.

Practising silence creates a mirror before us that we need to clean and realign everyday. It defines how we think, and is as important as breathing. The process is simplicity itself but becomes the very basis of how we live..

Practising silence also builds our short-term memory. The sharper, the keener our short-term memory is, the better we interact and cleave our way in the material sphere of life..

Ultimately, practising silence puts us in touch with the One, who resides within us. It is not prayer but communion and a recognition that nothing moves in this world without His will..
